The coastal city of Newport Beach in Orange County, is known for its magnificent, boat-filled harbor. Its Balboa Peninsula has two piers; the Newport Beach Pier and Balboa Pier.

Just like Sprawling Huntington, Mile Square Regional Park, a park with over 600 acres of land, was initially used for the United States Navy and as military airfields. It was then converted to a park in the 1970s.
Within the park’s rich history, it has boundaries for golf courses, soccer fields, baseball and softball diamonds, archery and nature areas. Also, there are fishing lakes, paddle boat operations, and picnic tables available.
